Project: AAAC Web Site

Launch Date: May 2000

Objective: Develop an online resource featuring art related events in the Athens, Georgia community. Requirements included ease of use, powerful search features and the ability to enter art related content in an Arts Directory and Calendar of Events.

Solution: Eo Studios developed a database-driven web site which enables visitors to post information on upcoming art-related events. To ensure accuracy of information, an additional Gatekeeper section was implemented where assigned individuals review and approve events posted by the community.

The calendar can be searched by keyword, artist, venue, date and discipline. Results are displayed in a web or printer friendly format and an option to access detailed results is available.The web site also features an Arts Directory where information can be found on Athen's Artists, Organizations and Venues. Listings can be generated by choosing from six distinct disciplines.
