AAPCHO CD-ROM training resource main interface design

Project: AAPCHO CD-ROM

Completion Date: April 1999

Objective: AAPCHO (Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organization) was granted funding to develop a CD-ROM training resource for doctors and clinicians based on existing written materials. The client sought a contractor who could deliver a finished product within three months.

Solution: Eo Studios was selected to develop the CD-based training resource. We worked closely with the project director and coordinator from AAPCHO's Oakland, CA office. Together, we developed innovative ways of presenting the 100+ pages of written information in an interactive, easily accessible format.

Each "chapter" contains case studies with spoken dialogue followed by a quiz. A login and history feature enables repeat users to find where they left off in a previous session. We designed dozens of illustrations and diagrams to strengthen the overall visual presentation. All audio and the CD-ROM insert were developed in house. 1000+ copies were produced and are currently in use at over 20 clinics nationwide.
